02 / THE TECHNOLOGY
Arc plasma evaporation–condensation is a physical route to fine metal powders. A high-energy electrical arc heats metal feedstock; the resulting vapor cools in a controlled gas environment, forming particles that are transported to a collection stage.
Electrical arc energy heats the metal charge and produces metal vapor inside the process chamber.
As the vapor cools, supersaturation promotes nucleation and particle growth. Gas conditions and cooling history influence the powder produced.
The process gas carries particles toward the collection assemblies. Powder recovery must preserve the atmosphere required by the material.
Recovered powder is handled, conditioned when required, and packaged using a validated material-specific procedure.
The supplied schematic is captioned as a high-vacuum, twin-torch DC arc plasma evaporation system for metal nanopowder preparation. Its labels identify a cooling crucible, gas inlet, pump, sieve, glove box and vacuum packing boxes. It is a process reference; the exact equipment included in this sale must be confirmed.
Original photoDiscuss your target metal, particle-size distribution, purity, oxygen content and intended use with the seller. Electronic materials, conductive formulations, catalysis and powder research each have different requirements. Suitability for MLCC electrode powders requires specific sample testing and process validation.
No production rate, particle size, purity, supported-metal list or certification is claimed on this page. Request the equipment specification and material-specific trial data.
03 / OPERATING OVERVIEW
A high-level overview for technical evaluation. The actual sequence, setpoints and protective measures must follow the equipment manual and a qualified operator’s approved procedures.
For trained personnel only. Electrical arcs, vacuum systems, process gases and reactive fine powders require engineered controls. This overview is not an operating manual.
Confirm the feedstock, target powder criteria, equipment condition and collection method. Check power, cooling, gas supply, ventilation and protective interlocks before a run.
Load the feedstock and close the system as specified. Establish the required vacuum and process-gas environment using the approved leak-check and atmosphere-control procedure.
A trained operator starts the arc only after the required conditions are met. Monitor electrical behavior, chamber pressure, gas flow and cooling during evaporation.
Maintain the validated process conditions while vapor cools and particles move to the collection stage. Track deviations and stop according to the prescribed protective logic.
Complete the controlled shutdown and cooling sequence. Recover and, where required, passivate powder under a validated procedure appropriate to its reactivity; avoid uncontrolled air exposure.
Evaluate the powder against the agreed criteria, package in a compatible atmosphere and container, and record the batch. Inspect and maintain the line before the next run.
